Samsung Continues to Dominate US Smartphone Market


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) Samsung maintained its place at the top of smart phones sales in the US market, with a share of 26.9% from September-November 2011, up 1.2% compared to the previous 3 months. A report released by comScore today showed that Apple and Android devices accounted for a combined 88.7% share of the U.S. smartphone market, with the later representing 53.7% of the market and Apple 35%. All of LG, Motorola and HTC's shares in the market contracted. LG now has a 17.5% market share, compared to 10.4% and 5.9% that Motorola and HTC have respectively.
