(MENAFN) Telekom Austria plans hybrid bond issue of up to USD1.06 billion to fund major investments, Reuters reported, citing local media.
Austrian magazine News quoted Chairman Rudolf Kemler as saying that the company is seeking funds for an Austrian auction of next-generation radio frequencies, due in the second half of this year.
Kelmer also added that the company wants to prolong existing frequency contracts.
Telekom Austria officials have previously played down prospects of raising fresh capital or selling assets to cut debt faster.
