IDB, Tunis plan to build free zone between Tunisia, Libya


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), a subgroup of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), is finalizing a study on creating a free trade zone between Tunisia and Libya. According to a statement by the Tunisian Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation, visiting ICD Executive Director Khaled Aboudi met with Tunisian Minister of Investment and International Co-operation Riadh Bettaieb and tackled the issue of building a free zone in Ben Guerdene, in the governorate of Medenine, and talks were also in cooperation with the Libyan side. Aboudi is heading a delegation of experts in charge of signing three financial and technical agreements with other Tunisian financial institutes.
