Kuwait- Police assault, steal from driver of tractor

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Attorney Ali Al-Wawan filed a case with the Public Prosecutor Dherar Al-Asousi against the undersecretary of Interior Ministry accusing a police officer of beating and stealing from a tractor driver. In his petition, Al-Wawan said his client works as a driver for a company that transports commodities. He explained his client was intercepted by a police patrol, as he came out of Al-Doha Port in a tractor loaded with sheep and heading towards Shuwaikh Industrial Area. According to the attorney, the officer in question asked for his client's driving license and ordered the man to follow their patrol vehicle to Qurtuba area, where the officer instructed him to take off his trousers, but he refused. The officer went on abusing and threatening him to take off his clothes, and then took his wallet containing KD 50. After that, he returned the driving license and warned him to keep quiet about the incident.
