Iraqi Electricity Ministry Concludes Contract to Establish 20 Power Stations


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) The Iraqi Ministry of Electricity has concluded a contract with the French Schneider Company to establish 20 secondary power stations of 11/33 kv capacity. Spokesperson of the Ministry Musab al-Mudaris said that the power stations will be divided on provinces of Basra, Dhi Qar, Maysan, Muthanna, and at total cost of $ 74 million. He noted that the stations will help stabilize the voltage and ease the load on many southern areas especially during the summer.
