US Equifax seals CSC credit unit takeover


(MENAFN) Georgia-based consumer credit reporting agency has completed its USD1 billion purchase of Computer Sciences Corp.'s credit services business. CSC said earlier this month that Equifax, which collects and sells consumer credit information, had agreed to buy the business. CSC wants to focus more on its technology services. CSC's Credit Services owns consumer credit files in 15 states and provides information technology (IT) services and professional services. The Virginia-based firm It's one of the largest independent US consumer credit reporting agencies and has been an Equifax affiliate since 1988.
