(MENAFN) Statistics Korea stated that the country's industrial output grew 1.8 percent in November year-on-year, reported Xinhua News.
The increase raised the reading on the all-industry index, which measures overall industrial activities, to 132.7 in the month, it also represented a recovery from October's 0.5-percent decline.
In the period, production in the mining, manufacturing and electricity & gas sectors went up 2.9 percent from a year earlier, whereas from a month earlier, output rose 2.3 percent.
The manufacturing sector's output, which accounts for nearly half of all industrial production, gained 2.9 percent from a year before as a result of a growth in chips, parts and chemical products.
It is worth noting that in November, South Korea's exports increased 5.9 percent from a year earlier, compared with a growth of 3.8 percent in October and 0.6 percent in September.
