(MENAFN - Arab News) The International Partnership Forum for Environmental and Energy Technologies - the 2013 edition of Green Ventures - will take place on Jan. 28-30 in Leipzig, Germany.
The German-Saudi Liaison Office (GESALO) for economic affairs announced it would be held simultaneously with the Terra Tec and Enertec exhibitions.
GESALO is the official partner of the Green Ventures 2013 show which is Germany's largest partnership forum for environmental and energy technology companies. For this reason, GESALO is inviting Saudi companies to attend.
On Jan. 29, the show will formally open. In the morning there will be meetings between companies in the field of energy and environmental technologies. A presentation on Arabian Gulf States as a partner region is scheduled to take place in the afternoon, as well as a roundtable discussion on market entry in the field of energy and environment in the partner region.
On Jan. 30, delegates and participants will visit innovative projects and companies in Saxony, a state in Germany.
They will visit the wastewater treatment plant Rosental, which is the main facility for the disposal of wastewater of over 500,000 people in Leipzig and surrounding areas. The ultra-modern plant purifies about 110,000 cubic meters of sewage to be environment-friendly every day.
They will also visit the Stadtwerke Leipzig GmbH, one of the largest municipal utilities in Germany and market leader for the power and heat provision in Leipzig.
Andreas Hergenroether, delegate of the department of Germany Industry & Commerce for Saudi Arabia and Yemen, announced earlier that Saudi Arabia is Germany's most important trading partner in the Middle East & North Africa region.
He said that in the first quarter of 2012, German exports to Saudi Arabia increased by 30 percent and reached 2 billion euros, while Saudi exports rose by 160 percent or 338 million euros for the same period.
