Saudi SEC inks 3 contracts for power transformers


(MENAFN) Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) unveiled plans to build three transformer stations across Saudi Arabia over the next 29 months, Arab News reported. The company has already awarded a USD108.3 million contract to a local company to set up a 380/110/13.8KV transformer in Jeddah to meet demand there, CEO Ali bin Saleh Al-Barrak was quoted as saying. SEC has also given a USD116.2 million contract to establish a 380KV transformer in Madinah. A third contract worth USD126.25 million was also awarded to establish a 380/132KV transformer in Asir.
