Bahrain- Menatelecom, Huawei ink MoU


(MENAFN) Menatelecom chairman, Abdul Razak Jawahery, stated that the Bahraini company inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with China's Huawei to install its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) wireless network in the Kingdom, reported Gulf Daily News. Jawahery added that Menatelecom had the opportunity of notably contributing towards the development of the country's technological advances since the introduction of its first nationwide WiMAX network. He noted that the new network will allow the company to provide both consumers and companies with the fastest mobile broadband speeds of up to 100Mb and faster response time for downloading and uploading content, as well as improved voice services. It is worth noting that Huawei is a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider.
