Kuwait- Toy gun scares public 

(MENAFN - Arab Times) When so-meone called the Operations Department of the Ministry and complained about a man carrying a Kalashnikov rifle, police rushed to the spot and took the man into custody, reports Al-Shahed daily.

However, the weapon turned out to be a mere toy, normally used in a film industry. The man said he bought the 'weapon' from the United States.

The suspect was taken to the Salmiya Police Station and was released after he signed a pledge not to carry the toy in public.

Gun in 'ill' man's hand: Patients and visitors to the Psychiatric Hospital rushed to different directions looking for cover when a mentally retarded man snatched a gun from a policeman and pointed at the people, reports Al-Rai daily.

Luckily the gun was not loaded. The daily gave no other details.
