(MENAFN) The International Energy Agency (IEA) stated that the UAE's oil output in November averaged 2.65 million barrels per day (bpd), reported Gulf News.

The IEA said that the amount fell by 0.75 percent or 20,000 bpd from a month before, when the country's output was at 2.67 million bpd.

The Paris-based agency added that on average, the Arab country produced 2.50 million bpd of oil in 2011, noting that the country has a sustainable oil output capacity of 2.79 million bpd at the current time.

The nation plans to boost its oil output capacity to 3.5 million bpd by 2018, in order to meet the growing global oil demand.

It is worth noting that Abu Dhabi, the UAE capital, accounts for over 90 percent of the country's crude oil output.
