(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Entrepreneurs in Oman need to stay abreast of changes in the business world and continue to lead from the front, according to Harib al Kitani, CEO, Oman LNG.Kitani shared his insights on 'Building and leading a high performance organisation' as a guest speaker at The Achievement Lunch & Learn Series for December, said a press release. He traced his personal journey as a young process operator in PDO to Oman Refinery Company, Oman LNG, Qalhat LNG and then finally back to Oman LNG.Kitani spoke of how he took advantage of every opportunity that came his way to serve, learn, grow and contribute the best he could. ''My drive for promoting and believing in excellence helped me. Whatever you are doing, do it to the best of your ability. Under no circumstances should excellence be compromised,'' he said.Going on to speak about the changes occurring around the world, he said, ''Omani organisations like Qalhat LNG and Oman LNG have successfully competed in the global market. Leaders need to stay ahead of these changes and continue to lead from the front.''Kitani sought to inspire the audience by listing his 'ingredients of success,' and also explained the five pillars of a high performance organisation. He spoke about how he and his colleagues in Qalhat LNG and Oman LNG built very successful high-performing organisations which have won national and international trophies and touched the lives of many through their social investment activities. Many Omani professionals were impressed with the simplicity of the speech. ''Harib did not present any complicated management theories or complex formulae for success. He presented simple and straightforward common sense principles based on leading from the heart, commitment from all, total alignment, service to the community, and above all, having fun doing it,'' a member of the audience said.A number of professionals from different sectors attended the event.
