(MENAFN - Arab Times) Kuwait witnessed night demonstrations in six residential areas of the country recently - which started in Faiha and went through Al-Rawda, Jahra, Farwaniya, Sabah Al-Nasser and Sabahiya, reports Al-Qabas daily.

The daily added four citizens were detained by the authorities from Keifan for taking part in unauthorized gathering. The demonstrations began at 20:00 hours Wednesday and continued until 01:45 Thursday.
In Faiha the young demonstrators followed a new strategy to distract security forces. At 19:00 hours the youth gathered in Faiha which initially was peaceful under the watchful eyes of the securitymen.
The authorities requested the youths to disperse when their numbers increased but the youths rejected saying the gathering was peaceful.

The youths stayed put until the arrival of Special Forces men led by Acting Director-General of Capital Governorate.

In Jahra the demonstrators were criticizing the 'one man one vote' system and the march continued without incident with the Special Forces which were stationed at the Taima Square.

About 100 youths gathered next to the Jahra Sports Club and toured the area and their numbers gradually increased to 200. Under limited security presence, the marchers denounced members of the new Parliament.

In Farwaniya the march began at 21:00 hours. A small number of citizens gathered in front of the Tadamoun Sports Club in the area. When their number increased to about 40 they separated and moved in different directions causing partial traffic jam but without any incident.

In Sabah Al-Nasser the demonstrators gathered past midnight. The demonstration lasted for an hour. They criticized the one vote system and demanded dissolution of the newly elected Parliament. The demonstration ended without the intervention of the Special Forces.

Meanwhile, the Shamiya Police Station summoned two former MPs Waleed Al-Tabtabaei and Jamaan Al-Harbash for interrogation for taking part in unauthorized rally in Keifan.
