Kuwait- Task force team ready to demolish encroachments

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Committee tasked with the removal of encroachments on state property regrouped its special teams in all industrial, commercial and investment areas and home residences throughout Kuwait. The priorities of removing all encroachments that were rebuilt during last summer have been set and several illegal structures were identified and will soon be demolished, Colonel Thafer Al-Sayegh, Public Relations and Media Coordinator at the committee told KUNA on Monday. The committee will deal with the violations in the private houses, including tent fixations, blocking footpaths, car parking shades adjacent to power boxes, growing garden plants outside borders licensed by the municipality and high concrete barriers around gardens, Al-Sayegh added. He said that the illegal constructions will be demolished in industrial areas, especially in Amghara, where concrete factory owners used unlicensed property lands through storing gravel and sand and setting up workshops that the committee has previously spotted, in addition to other areas like Fahaheel, Al-Ray and Shuwaikh. The committee has also monitored, during its tours, some illegal expansions in agricultural areas such as Al-Abdali, Al-Wafra, Kabd and Al-Sulaibiya without referring to the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fish Resources (PAAFR) to take the necessary licenses, as well as putting some installations outside the boundaries of tenure, Col. Al-Sayegh noted. The committee has coordinated with PAAFR, Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS), Public Authority for Industry (PAI), the Kuwait Municipality and the State Property Department in order for trained observers from these agencies to demolish them. Al-Sayegh appealed to all citizens, residents and companies to commit to maintaining state property and to obtain the necessary official permits in the event of exploiting any of these lands.
