(MENAFN) China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) stated that this year, its overseas oil and gas production reached 50.35 million tons of oil equivalent, reported Xinhua News.
The country's largest oil and gas producer said that although the amount surpassed 50 million tons, however, it was bellow the 51.7 million tons posted a year ago.
The company, which operates 35 oil and gas production projects outside China, noted that its overseas operations in the year have been affected of the global economic conditions, turmoil in some oil countries and tight policies in resource countries.
The parent company of the listed PetroChina Co., added that in the past year, total oil and gas output of its overseas projects stood at 100.15 million tons of oil equivalent, including 86.21 million tons of crude oil and 17.5 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
