(MENAFN - Arab News) Zain KSA honored Holy Qur'an memorizers among Dammam University students as part of the company's participation in the university's celebrations for the UN Arabic Language Day, which was established by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The celebration was held with the support of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Arabic language International Center, while the company also sent SMS messages to encourage and support Arabic language, in cooperation with the Saudi Scientific Assembly for the Arabic language.
The company stated that the celebration was held by the university's College of Arts, to express their pride in the Arabic language, on the day marked as the 39th anniversary when the UN General Assembly approved Arabic as an official UN language. The celebrations included a number of associated events aimed to enhance the students adherence to the Arabic language and to develop their positive role toward the national language.
The company stressed that its participation in the celebrations comes as part of its belief in the worldwide importance of the Arabic language and its high cultural value, and that this is part of its CSR program.
Zain KSA was keen since launching its commercial activities to actively contribute in encouraging memorizers in various forums, and to support activities that serve the community in general, in addition to its ongoing quest to achieve diversity in the provision of its social services, with a view to reaching as many beneficiaries as possible in all regions of the Kingdom.
