GCC governments focused on business development


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The GCC governments are focused on supporting business ventures in the region especially the ones operated by businesswomen, said Chairperson of the Council of Arab Businesswomen Sheikha Dr. Hessa Al-Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah here Monday. Speaking on the sideline of the 1st GCC businesswomen forum which began here Sunday, Sheikha Hessa told the press that the public sector had played its role in enabling businesswomen to participate in business ventures, adding that the private sector should play part in bolstering economic partnership to enable Gulf women to partake in business. On his part, Khalil Bin Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al Khonji, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), said the GCC businesswomen forum, to last for three days, would focus on means to development skills of businesswomen in the region to enable them to get more involved in international business affairs.
