Etihad Cargo to operate dedicated freight service for Filipino expats


(MENAFN) Etihad Cargo, the freighter unit Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways, has launched a service dedicated to Filipinos living in the UAE, Arabian Business reported. The "Etihad Kabayan Box" is a personal freight service for the Filipino expatriate community living in the Gulf country, which account for 500,000. The new service will allow Filipinos to send up to 20 kilos and up to 50 kilos by air to the capital of the Philippines, Manila, the freighter said. While the service is for personal belongings only, there is no restriction on the number of Etihad Kabayan Boxes that may be booked, Etihad Cargo added. Four agency partners working in the UAE will handle the packages, including Abu Dhabi-based the Omeir Travel Agency and the Abu Dhabi Cargo Company, and Dubai-based Asia Express Shipping Agency and Cargo Partners.
