Dutch KPN agrees to sell Spanish operations

(MENAFN) Dutch KPN announced that it will sell its Spanish operations to Orange Spain, a unit of France Telecom, reported Reuters. The telecoms group said that the deal comes as the company plans to concentrate on its business in the Netherlands. The firm, which didn't reveal the value of the deal, added that the number of its customers in Spain is around 380,000. It is worth noting that KPN offers its services as a so-called virtual supplier, which means that it uses the network of other telecom firms to offer phone services.
