(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) The Presidential Affairs Ministry has approved a special budget for "Absher", an initiative by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan to increase the UAE national workforce in the private sector.
The initiative provides training and qualification programs to nationals to facilitate greater contribution to the private sector's 4 million strong workforce, according to Ahmed Juma Al Zaabi, Deputy Minister of Presidential Affairs.
The President's initiatives seek to serve the country's interests and the citizens in order to secure a decent life for them, Al Zaabi told Abu Dhabi TV.
He also noted that there are directives by the top leadership to reduce the difference in leaves, salaries and retirement system between the private sector and the public sector.
