Kuwait''s donates USD 10m to fund for Arab Spring countries


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait on Wednesday donated USD 10 million to the Transition Fund, which was established by G8 nations to support reform in countries undergoing a democratic transition. The Group of Eight (G8) launched an initiative on behalf of the partnership of Deauville in 2011, to support the reform for the countries undergoing a democratic transition and support the institutional reforms in Morocco, Egypt, Jordan, Tunisia, Libya, and Yemen, in order to strengthen the their laws, the fight against corruption, provide support to civil societies, and promote of education and vocational training in addition to supporting regional and global interdependence and promote economic development. The fund is also aimed at weak laws and legislation, high unemployment rates, achieving governance in the administration and the deterioration of public services.
