Kuwait- Court to view Barrak 'clips'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) The Criminal Court has postponed until Dec 31, 2012 the hearing on a case filed against former MP Musallam Al-Barrak for offending HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at a public rally in the Erada Square. This will give the court enough time to review video footage of the rally. In another case, the Court of Appeals on Monday sentenced nine persons, who have been accused of storming the premises of Al-Watan TV station, to three years in prison with the possibility of non-implementation of the verdict. Earlier, the court sentenced the nine accused to two years in prison, fined two others and released one. Case files indicate that a few days before the February 2012 elections some members of Al-Mutair tribe stormed the TV station premises in protest against the airing of an interview with MP-elect Nabil Al-Fadel whom they accused of offending the tribe during the interview.
