(MENAFN - Arab Times) An 18-year-old Kuwaiti citizen was arrested recently for running over a Private Forces officer at a security checkpoint, reports Al-Shahid daily.
According to security sources, when a Private Forces officer filed a complaint at Firdous police station, stating that an unknown individual ran over his colleague at a security checkpoint, securitymen investigated and obtained statements from eyewitnesses.
According to the eyewitnesses, when the suspect arrived at the checkpoint, he did not stop and ran over the victim who was controlling the checkpoint. He was immediately referred to the nearest hospital for treatment.
A case was registered and using the information given by the eyewitnesses, securitymen managed to arrest the suspect and referred him to the General Department for Criminal Evidences for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, a 27-year-old Kuwaiti woman lodged a complaint at Sabah Al-Salem police station against an unknown individual who was driving a vehicle with Saudi number plate, accusing the latter of crashing into her vehicle and escaping, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
She informed securitymen that she was driving on King Fahad Road towards Ahmadi when a speeding vehicle with Saudi number plate hit her vehicle and fled from the location without stopping.
Securitymen noted the description and number of the vehicle.
A case was registered and investigations are ongoing to arrest the suspect.
