(MENAFN) China Southern Airlines Co Ltd announced that it will pay USD1.9 billion to obtain 10 Airbus A330-300 planes, reported Reuters.
China's biggest airline by fleet size said that the deal would be financed via internal resources and loans from commercial banks.
It added that the catalogue price of one Airbus A330-300 plane was USD188 million, with delivery of the 10 aircraft expected in stages from 2014 to 2016.
On the other hand, China Eastern Airlines, one of the Asian country's main 3 carriers, stated in late November that it will acquire 60 Airbus A320 planes in a USD5.4 billion deal.
