Qatar's Qtel signs deal with MoneyGram


(MENAFN) MoneyGram's senior regional director Middle East, Richard Meredith, stated that the company inked a multi-year deal with Qatar's Qtel, reported Arab News. Meredith said that according to the agreement, the firm will offer international mobile money transfer services via Qtel. The clients of Qatar's leading mobile operator will be able to register for the Qtel Mobile Money service at any Qtel shop, or directly from their mobile devices and send money that can be picked up at any of MoneyGram locations. The service also enables customers in Qatar who don't have a bank account or use traditional banking services to transfer money. It is worth noting that MoneyGram has 284,000 global locations in 197 countries.
