(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) Indian School Mabela (ISAM) plans to add classes for standard VIII from the new academic session beginning April 2013. The school will also add 300 students to the existing 1,400.P Prabakaran, the school's principal said, ''We have five vacant classrooms that can easily accommodate around 300 pupils. From the next session, we will grow beyond standard VII, to the standard VIII.''This proves how our school has grown by leaps and bounds in the last two years since starting with only 500 students. We also plan to increase the number of teachers from the current 60.''Last week, the school observed its second annual sports day during which students took part in activities like drills and march pasts. Abdullah Mousa Ayyad, general manager, International Barter Net, was the chief guest on the occasion.The programme commenced with a march past by groups from the four houses - Gandhi, C V Raman, A P J Abdul Kalam and Swami Vivekananda. Kalam house emerged the winner.The most colourful part of the meet was the walk past by the kindergarten students. Dressed in colours of the Indian flag, the toddlers engaged the audience with a series of games.
