BrazIron's test work delivers 65% iron concentrate from Brazilian project

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) BrazIron (ASX: BZL) has confirmed that a marketable concentrate of 65% iron and 5% silicon dioxide can be readily produced from its flagship Urubu Prospect in Brazil. Reverse flotation tests on core from the prospect also confirmed iron recovery of over 65%. The company will now carry out more detailed optimisation work to improve recoveries and reduce silica content before moving toward a comprehensive processing flow sheet. BrazIron is currently in the midst of securing environmental permitting for drilling on the eastern limb and the northern extents of the western limb in the Codevasf section to the north. Another 1,200 metres of reverse circulation drilling is required in this section to calculate a JORC Resource over the whole of the Urubu ore body. Drilling is expected to restart in early 2013. Sufficient drilling has been carried out on the southern section of Urubu and progress has being made on the calculation of a resource for this part of the prospect.
