China's Nov PMI expands to 50.6%

(MENAFN) The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing (CFLP) revealed that last month, the country's purchasing managers' index (PMI), which gauges manufacturing activity, grew to 50.6 percent from 50.2 percent in October, reported Xinhua News. CFLP vice chairman, Cai Jin, stated that the increase, for the third consecutive month, shows that Chinese economy might continue to grow, however, moderately. In November, the sub-index for new orders rose 0.8 percentage points to 51.2 percent, while the export order sub-index edged up 0.9 percentage points to 50.2 percent. It is worth noting that the PMI figures are based on a survey of purchasing managers in over 820 firms and 20 industries.
