Saudi- S-Chem wins Summer Safety Contest 

(MENAFN - Arab News) S-Chem was selected as the 2012 Large Facility Winner of the Summer Safety Contest by CHEVRON PHILLIPS CHEMICALS.

The award is conducted every year between CPChem affiliate companies for their performance in the field of safety during the summer, where temperatures are rising and the need is urgent to take the highest degree of caution in order to prevent the exposure of employees to heat stress and the risk of sun strikes.

S-Chem executive president Mr. Saeed Bajodah explained that this achievement is only the fruit of real teamwork and proactive efforts by the management and employees of the company to take into perspective the principles and rules of safety that are followed in S-Chem. This award is also the culmination of the resounding success achieved by awareness campaigns carried out by a team of safety during the summer of this year.

Further, this award was achieved as a result of the absence in the record of occupational injuries and accidents, whether it be for their employees or contractors, employees of the company throughout this period where the company prepared in advance plans and strategies studied in order to avoid the occurrence of occupational accidents to company employees and to prevent material damage to its facilities.
