(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) Municipality and police inspectors, in a joint campaign, seized over 1,200 fake or distorted National Day medals, brooches and flyers.
According to the Municipality of Abu Dhabi City, the campaign, in collaboration with the police, items and brooches related to the 41st National Day celebrations on sale were incompatible with the applicable specifications.
"The two-day campaign resulted in the seizure of about 1,200 distorted brooches, bearing the slogan of the "Spirit of the Union", with pictures of Their Highnesses Members of the Supreme Council and Rulers of the Emirates dressed in uniform other than the national ones.
The surprise inspection campaign, which was based on a tipoff to the municipality, covered markets of Abu Dhabi, Baniyas and Shahama," said Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Director of Public Health at the municipality.
