(MENAFN - Arab Times) International Drug Control Department affiliated to Directorate General for Drug Control arrested two Asian expatriates recently for possession of one-kilogram pack and five rolls of marijuana drug, 200 grams of heroin, 50 grams of 'Shabu', 20 grams of hashish and 3,000 narcotic pills and a sensitive weighing scale.
Reportedly, when the department received information about the two suspects' illegal activities, officers from Public Investigation Department formed a team for investigations.
After confirming the information they received, the officers rushed to the suspects' apartment and found the drugs and the sensitive weighing scale.
The suspects were arrested and during investigations, they confessed their crime. They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
Meanwhile, two Asian expatriates were arrested recently in Mahboula for possession of 11 bottles of locally brewed liquor.
Reportedly, while Hawally securitymen were patrolling Mahboula on Tuesday morning, they suspected two expatriates, among whom one was carrying a carton, when they tried to hide after noticing the patrol vehicle.
Securitymen immediately approached them and checked their details. Checking the carton, they discovered 11 bottles of locally brewed liquor.
The suspects were arrested and referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
