Ukraine's 2013 GDP to expand 3.4%


(MENAFN) Ukraine's First Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister, Anatoly Maksiuta, stated that in 2013, the country's economy is expected to expand 3.4 percent, reported Xinhua News. Maksiuta said that next year's gross domestic product (GDP) is projected to reach USD197 billion, while inflation would reach 4.8 percent. In 2012's first three months, the economy posted a growth of 2 percent from a year ago, while it expanded by 3 percent in the second quarter. Nevertheless, in the third quarter, economy contracted 1.3 percent. The government expects full year growth to be at 3.9 percent in 2012, whereas inflation is projected to be at 7.9 percent.
