(MENAFN) Bahrain's Gulf Air's CCO, Karim Makhlouf, stated that the loss-making carrier plans to increase its flights to India, through adding 3 more destinations, reported Arabian Business citing local media.
Makhlouf said that the carrier mulls adding services to India's Pune, Ahmedabad and Amritsar, bringing the total number of Indian destinations on its network to 7.
Gulf Air, which was recently granted a USD491 million funding through a royal decree, earns nearly 8 percent of its total revenue from the India segment.
It is worth noting that the airline, undergoing a major restructuring plan at the current time, already operates services to India's Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kochi, and offers 16,600 seats per week.
