(MENAFN - Arab Times) Police have arrested a bedoun for raping juveniles and stealing cars, reports Al-Rai daily.

A security source said the Hawalli police received several complaints from citizens and expatriates who complained about the theft of their cars - the cars which were kept with the engines on and the motorist stepped out to buy something.

The arrest came when a Lebanese juvenile filed a complaint with the Salmiya police accusing another youth of threatening to stab him with a knife, driving him to a desert in Sulaibiya and raping him.

Securitymen conducted intensive investigations and concluded that the rapist used a stolen car, which led to arrest of the suspect in Salmiya.

The juvenile recognized the rapist and the latter admitted to stealing 18 cars and using them in theft cases and commit rapes.
