UAE- Jumeirah Group inks India's hotel management deal


(MENAFN) Jumeirah Group's president and CEO, Gerard Lawless, announced that the company inked a management agreement for its first hotel in India, reported Gulf News. Lawless said that the hotel, slated to open in 2017, is part of a new development in the Lower Parel district of Mumbai, and forms the first phase of the firm's expansion into the subcontinent. Once completed, the hotel will comprise 470 rooms, suites and serviced apartments, a number of restaurants and bars, conference, wedding, banqueting and meeting facilities, in addition to a spa. He added that the Group, which operates 20 luxury hotels and serviced apartments at the current time, is in advanced talks for hotels and resorts in other key destinations in the country.
