Apple escalates legal war with Samsung, adds new products to lawsuit

(MENAFN) In its latest move in the ongoing legal war with Samsung Electronics Co, Apple Inc has asked the US District Court in San Jose to add 6 more products to its patent infringement lawsuit against the South Korean firm, reported Reuters. The US firm said in the court filing that it wants the federal court to added the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the Samsung Galaxy S III, running the new Android "Jelly Bean" operating system, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Wifi, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, the Samsung Rugby Pro, and the Samsung Galaxy S III Mini to the case. The maker of the iPhone and the iPad noted that Samsung's newly introduced products do breach many of the same claims already asserted by the company. In August, the US giant won a USD1.05-billion jury verdict against Samsung in a case related to the infringement of different patents.
