(MENAFN - Khaleej Times) It was a mad rush of job-seekers at the World Trade Centre on Friday morning as thousands of applicants turned up for a mass-recruitment drive.
Hoping to get a chance to work with a new luxury hotel, Conrad Dubai, the serpentine queue was well worth the wait as 700 jobs were up for grabs.
The first day of recruitment saw over 2,300 applicants who started queuing up from as early as 7am.
Speaking with Khaleej Times, a spokesperson from the company confirmed the two-day recruitment drive would continue today also, as only 150 applicants had been shortlisted on the first day.
A team of 30 interviewees were tasked with assessing each applicant as members from a review team would direct candidates based on their area of expertise. They would then be directed to a waiting area followed by an interview round.
The recruitment will last from 10am to 8pm as the company is hiringfor all levels, from the top down. Positions include managerial, sales and marketing, finance and administration, front office, food and beverage and housekeeping roles.
