Kuwait- Entry forged

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Plainclothes policemen from the General Directorate of Investigation have arrested an immigration officer and an Arab expatriate working at the Kuwait International Airport Immigration Department for forging the departure and entry lists, reports Al-Jaridah daily. It has been reported the suspects are accused of putting an 'Entry' stamp on the passport of an unidentified person although the person was outside the country. According to reports the arrest came when a divorced Egyptian man filed a complaint with the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh Police Station claiming his ex-wife was able to put an 'Entry' stamp on his son's passport although the latter is in Egypt. This was to deceive her husband who had the right to see his son once a week based on a court verdict. When the Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh police summoned the boy's mother for interrogation and asked her about her son, she admitted the son was in the country and as proof submitted his passport with the 'Entry' seal. The source added the ex-husband then approached the Office of the Assistant Undersecretary for Nationality, Passports and Immigration at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Abdullah Rashed and filed a formal complaint. In the complaint he said he was sure his son was in Egypt but his ex-wife claims he is in Kuwait. Major-General Rashed then assigned personnel from the General Administration for Immigration Investigation to conduct necessary investigations. The detectives then addressed the Interpol in Egypt and the response was swift which said the child has left Kuwait and has not returned. After getting this information the department summoned the mother again and she insisted the boy was in Kuwait and produced the passport with the 'Entry' seal as evidence. When she was shown the Egyptian Interpol report she admitted that she with the help of her colleague at work at the airport had managed to get his passport stamped with the 'Entry' to teach a lesson to her ex-husband. During interrogation the office admitted to the charge but said he did it in good faith. The suspects have been referred to the Public Prosecution and a case has been registered against them.
