(MENAFN- Arab Times) An Arab expatriate was arrested recently for stabbing his wife five times in the chest over suspicions that she is involved in adulterous affairs.
According to security sources, while the couple were in their apartment in Salwa, the husband found some suspicious text messages and pictures in his wife's cell phone and questioned her.
When she panicked, he was convinced that she was involved in adulterous relationships. Unable to control himself, he rushed to the kitchen to take a knife and went to the bedroom where he stabbed her five times on the chest.
When a neighbor heard shouts from the flat, he immediately contacted the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location and found the suspect standing in front of his flat and shouting, "I killed her because she committed adultery".
Securitymen arrested him and they went inside the apartment to find the woman lying still on the ground and bleeding profusely. They examined her and discovered that she was still alive. Paramedics referred her to Mubarak Hospital where she was admitted in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition.
During interrogations with the suspect, he said he had doubted her for months because of her behavior. He said that when he saw the suspicious messages and pictures, he was unable to control himself and stabbed her in the heart.
He was referred to the Public Prosecution for necessary legal action against him.
