Saudi Aramco: Manifa Field operational in 2014 

(MENAFN) Saudi Aramco, the world's largest oil producing company, stated that the Manifa Field, which is the fifth-largest oilfield in the world, will be fully operational in December 2014, reported Emirates 24/7.

The company said the field is forecasted to produce 900,000 barrels per day (bpd) of Arabian Heavy crude oil, 90 million Standard Cubic Feet/Day (scfd) of sour gas, and 65,000 bpd of hydrocarbon condensate.

The firm added that around 97 percent of offshore construction, including all platform decks, subsea pipelines for crude oil gathering and water injection, and subsea power and communication cables had been finished.

On the other hand, the establishment of the central oil and gas processing facility (CPF) was almost 3-quarters complete by year-end, while all main equipment has been fitted, furthermore, all 27 manmade islands and the main and lateral causeways for the oilfield were also finished.

It is worth noting that Manifa's project is part of a program to boost Saudi crude production capacity to 12.5 million bpd from the current 11 million bpd.
