Grand Gulf Energy to drill Louisiana oil and gas well


(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Grand Gulf Energy (ASX: GGE) and Tamaska Oil & Gas (ASX: TMK) are preparing to spud a well in Iberville Parish, Louisiana, targeting 4.8 million barrels of oil and 17 billion cubic feet of gas. The West Klondike Wilberts Sons LLC-1 well targets the Marg Tex, Lario and Upper and Lower Nod Blan sands, all of which produce in fields in the area. There is also a larger, separate, high pressure, deeper Bridas prospect in the leased area that will require a separate well. The target sands at Bridas have recently yielded a significant discovery about 2.5 kilometres to the northeast. Tamaska has a 10.2% working interest in the West Klondike Prospect which covers 640 acres while Grand Gulf holds 10.5%.
