UAE- Tawazun Safety Security and Disaster Management City signs agreements with global training organizations

(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) Tawazun Safety Security and Disaster Management City (TSSDMC), a Tawazun Holding subsidiary offering multi-agency training for emergency preparedness and crisis management, has signed agreements with two international training providers. The first agreement was signed with the Canada-based Ontario Fire Academy (OFA) which will see TSSDMC's UAE-based Oil '&' Gas clients taught the skills required to be qualified Level 1 and 2 Fire Fighters. TSSDMC will work with the OFA to design, develop, and deliver short courses and programs as per the internationally-recognized standards of the US National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The second agreement was signed with a Dutch firm, Competency Management Group (CMG), who together with their educational partner the National Maritime College of Ireland (NMCI), will develop curriculum and deliver training that comply with international standards. The training will be provided to TSSDMC's clients. Khaleefa Al Hemairi, Project Director for TSSDMC said: "We are committed to providing the best possible education and training in the fields of safety, security, emergency preparedness and disaster management by collaborating with a hand-picked selection of international partners. By doing this, we hope to further strengthen the UAE's capability to mitigate the impact of natural disaster or man-made crisis and maintain overall business continuity. "We are confident that with these new agreements with the Ontario Fire Academy and Competency Management Group, we can help prepare UAE industries and communities to effectively respond to emergencies, decrease the number of fatalities and reduce damage to infrastructure and property," he added. TSSDMC - together with its collaborative partners - will deliver technical vocational and professional training that fuses scenario-based live training with virtual simulation.
