Kuwait- Jordan bans Tabtabaei entry

(MENAFN- Arab Times) Former MP Dr Waleed Al-Tabtabaei has been barred by the Jordanian authorities from entering the country, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting reliable Jordanian sources. However, according to some sources six countries have banned entry for Al-Tabtabaei - two unidentified GCC states, Egypt, Syria and Iran and now Jordan. The sources said Amman issued an entry ban on Al-Tabtabaei because of his intervention in the internal affairs of Jordan following the latest events and demonstrations in that country. Meanwhile, Ministry of Interior has formed a security team for the forthcoming parliamentary elections to be held on Dec 1 in order to monitor and impede any negative activities that could have undesirable implications on the electoral process, reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting informed sources. They stressed that the government is determined to ensure the elections are carried out successfully, indicating that the security team will arrest individuals who are suspected of vote-buying or influencing voters to vote for a particular candidate.
