(MENAFN) Minnesota-based consumer electronics retailer Best Buy Co. posted a quarterly loss, as its sales continue to fall, AP reported.

The struggling company said it incurred USD10 million net loss during its fiscal third quarter ended November 3, versus USD156 million profit a year earlier.

The company also reported a 4 percent decline in quarterly revenue to USD10.75 billion from USD11.15 billion a year ago.

The company said same store sales slumped by 4.3 percent in the third quarter.

Weaker sales in notebook computers, video games, digital cameras and TVs, shadowed stronger performance in mobile phones, appliances and tablets and e-readers.
