Planet Metals starts Queensland gold drilling

(MENAFN- ProactiveInvestors - Australia) Planet Metals (ASX: PMQ) has started drilling at its Mount Borium gold project in northwest Queensland to test three target zones. Seven holes totalling 1,000 metres will be drilled to test the zones. The company has also recently obtained and interpreted geophysical data from a HeliMag survey flown in 2008 that covers part of the project area. This data is currently being assessed and will form an integral component in the Company's subsequent exploration and drilling programs at Mount Borium. Fieldwork completed at Mount Borium have so far returned samples of up to 7.9 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. The project is located between the historic Kidston gold & Einasleigh copper-gold mines and has had limited exploration over the past 20 years.
