(MENAFN - Arab Times) The Burgan Bank intends to file a lawsuit against former MP Faisal Al-Mislem to demand compensation amounting to KD1 million for revealing secret banking information during the parliamentary inquest of former Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, says Attorney Ali Al-Baghli, the bank's lawyer.
Al-Baghli said the case will be referred soon to the Experts Administration to specify the moral compensation amount.
On the other hand, sources disclosed the lawyer for Sheikh Nasser, Emad Al-Saif, will also demand for compensation for the damages that Al-Mislem had caused to his client.
It has been reported that the Cassation Court revoked the appeal of Al-Mislem against a previous ruling which fined him KD200 for revealing confidential banking information. The bank later filed a complaint, through which, the court acquitted the manager of one of its branches. The branch manager has been accused of divulging secret banking information to Al-Mislem who allegedly put pressure on him.
