(MENAFN - Arab Times) An Arab national was arrested recently at Kuwait International Airport for attempting to smuggle two bottles of liquor into the country.
According to sources, when customs officers stopped the suspect, who had arrived from a European country, for checking his luggage, they noticed that he did not place a hand luggage for checking.
They checked the luggage and found two bottles of liquor. During interrogations, he revealed that he brought the liquor to Kuwait for his own use.
He was arrested and referred with the liquor bottles to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
Meanwhile, customs officers arrested an Indian expatriate for attempting to smuggle 1/4 kilogram of drugs into the country.
He had covered the drugs with a piece of cloth and placed in his bag.

Meanwhile, three Indian expatriates were arrested recently for brewing liquor in their apartment in Abu Halifa and selling them, reports Al-Shahid daily.
According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about this illegal business, securitymen from Abu Halifa police station rushed to the apartment and arrested the three suspects. They searched the apartment and found 20 bottles of liquor.
The suspects were referred with the items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
