Kuwait- 20 Egyptians held collecting donations


(MENAFN- Arab Times) Twenty Egyptian expatriates were arrested recently for illegally collecting donations for a particular political group in Egypt, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to sources, the suspects were caught collecting donations on Friday morning opposite Green Island. They indicated that the Kuwaiti government has decided to deport the suspects. The Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Abdulkareem Sulaiman urged his compatriots to be of good conduct and abide by the country's regulations, declaring that the law is applicable to all without exceptions. He disclosed that the Egyptian Head of Mission Wael Gad visited the suspects to note their conditions at the deportation detention. He stressed that the suspects are being treated properly, adding that procedures are ongoing for discussions at the top diplomatic level on the need for resolving this issue amicably.
