(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) The general index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) declined 0.31 per cent on Sunday to close at 5617.55.Among the sectoral indices, the Financial index declined 0.35 per cent, while the Industrial and Services indices were down 0.12 per cent and 0.01 per cent, respectively.Market volume dropped 11.36 per cent to 7.7mn from the previous session, while total turnover dropped 3.44 per cent to RO2.026mn from RO2.098mn in the previous session.A total of 44 stocks traded on Sunday. The market breadth was negative with 20 stocks declining to just 12 advancers.Omani and GCC investors ended the day as net buyers, while other foreign investors remained net sellers on Sunday.MSM's market capitalisation decreased 0.16 per cent to RO11.4bn from RO11.42bn in the previous session.The top gainers of the day were Al Jazeera Steel Products (2.41 per cent at 297bz), Voltamp Energy (2.3 per cent at 356bz), Al Anwar Holding (1.58 per cent at 129bz), Oman Chlorine (1.37 per cent at 517bz) and Oman United Insurance (1.08 per cent at 187bz).Top losers were Transgulf Industrial Investment Holding (-2.41 per cent at 81bz), Al Batinah Development and Investment Holding (-1.79 per cent at 55bz), BankDhofar (-1.69 per cent at 349bz), Ahlibank (-1.21 per cent at 164bz) and Gulf Investment Services (-1.18 per cent at 84bz).
